Here are a few photos from a recent trip I took around Teignmouth, up and down the coast on a wee painting jolly. Followed by a visit to some of the beaches on the coast of Kent.
My usual routine in life is to burn myself out working silly hours, not taking a break and getting ill. I break this up by taking a long weekend off every few months and burning myself out in a good way by riding somewere, painting loads and sleeping where I fall. So I was pleased as punch when I saw howies were promoting Micro adventues I’ve been a big fan of the sleep where you stop vibe for years, as painting trips are usually on the cheap and not planned. By the look of the photos and videos on the howies Facebook page, people have been really getting out there and having fun!
My trip was not as planned and just involved me riding towards things that looked interesting, sleeping when its too dark to see and only carrying paint, sleeping bag and a camera. Each to their own. Everyone can read websites about people climbing mountains and trekking across deserts, but the best thing about the micro adventures is that its feesable even if you have jobs, kids etc etc. So there realy is no excuse, You can all spare one night a month. And I promise its better then X factor, Fact…
Go enjoy!
Highlights pictured below include…
Pickled egg and chips, holding hands with a bird of prey, brain headed fish, the joy of an apple whilst riding, finding a mini island and some owl I keep seeing.
